volt of the charge

Hi guys,

I got a seagate 2 tb external drive about 1-2 years ago. Recently I lost the charge and I need to know the volt (5V or 12V) to get the correct one. The only thing I know about this drive is the S/N. It seems no model or any other name on it. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Re: volt of the charge

Thank you very much for the info. I am wondering where the model number is located. I think this is the key number for everything. I only can find S/N and P/N.

If you got to this page
https://apps1.seagate.com/downloads/request.html
You can input your P/N and S/N from the drive label and it will return your model number.

It's also on the box label around the barcode if you still happen to have it
