S2 portable will play some avi files but not others?

Hey,

 

I have been using my S2 portable hdd to watch avi files through my dvd player for months now and havent had a problem but the last few files I have added to the hdd have not been working. Can anyone tell me why this might be? One of the files I tried today said "data error" and others have played the first 6 seconds and then skipped to the next file.

I recommend you connect the drive to a PC and run checkdisk:

Then try running those same avi files from the PC and make sure they work correctly that way.

Thanks for the advice but I tried and that hasnt helped unfortunately. I ran a check disc and it said there was no errors found and the files will play from my pc without any problems. 

Now what? :smileysad:
