Hi Jazeed
Did you manage to handle with that case?
I assume there is sth wrong with big files handling with SamsungSecretZone.
My situation is as follows:
I was having disc with 150GB .msr file. then I've tried to extend it for more than 30GB. Operation succedd, but nevertheless after mounting it again same problems appears.
FIrst - application did not change disc size/means that file/, but shows no error after resizing.
Second - when rying to mount it - it's still claiming that it's still not mounted.
When tried to do it again - application claims that it's already mounted.
From windows_explorator shows that partition in unrecheable and cannot read it.
What shall I do next then? hehm? Dear Service Support - please respond
with greetings
marcin

Hi, Fellows.
I tried to expand a partition, but unfortunely it became unaccessible.
A lost of 250GB of data!
The option "expand" should be removed from the SecretZone software!

AHHHHRR! Same on mine ! What a deception about samsung. I was such a great fan of all your products, drives, phones, Tv, I got them all for years and kept talking about how reliable it was but. I guess it's the en d of an era.
After expanding one image from 30Go to 100Go with Samsung Secret Zone, I cannot mount the image anymore !
I will quote Mikawojos because I have exactly the same problem:
"FIrst - application did not change disc size/means that file/, but shows no error after resizing.
Second - when rying to mount it - it's still claiming that it's still not mounted.
When tried to do it again - application claims that it's already mounted.
From windows_explorator shows that partition in unrecheable and cannot read it."
It is a proper malfunction of the program with no warning during the operation. Its seems like i'm not the only one and I cannot belive Samsung is not doing anything about this issue, letting customer loose all their file with no chance of backup !!
Now;
- is there any way to restore/fix a corrupted .msr file?
- is there any other software than that stupid Samsung secret zone to open an .msr file?
- any way to backup anything from the image?
- any way to "reduce" from 100Go to 30Go? Or to expand even more to try rebuilt the image? it stills show 30Go on the file, so it may come from that, but as i cannot mount it, I cannot use Samsung Secret zone to modify in any way.
If you found a solution, please share and help lots of people in our situation.
Samsung support, your help would be much appreciated on this issue.
PLease HELP!

Same happened to me but I just manged to get my files back thanks to this software: Ontrack EasyRecovery Enterprise 10
After I tried to expand the size of the partition, Samsung Secret zone was unable to mount the image msr file.
In Samsung secret zone, it says it cannot mount, but the disc still appears in Window explorer and we cannot open it.
Thanks to this software, you can lunch a scan on this "corrupted disc" and it will find all your files !!
You just have to select them and save them somewhere else!
Scan took me few hours for 30Go, so good luck with your 250Go or more...
Good luck people, I hope it will help.
