I have a Samsung SP2504C which has worked, It is in an external case. It is recognized but says it needs formatting. Will not quick format, tried the long slow format both in windows and Computer Manager and command prompt all fail when asked for a name or return to continue. Trying to find out if it is in warranty or not comes up with unknown and trying to find out how to contact seagate is impossible. I believe the international number is useless and is it free? No e mail is available and chat doesn't work.If anyone from seagate reads this please contact me!! I have tried sea tools short generic test, failed. I am trying long test and it has been running for 1.5 hours and still nothing. Please HELP!!
