Hi All
I have a microserver with 3 x 2TB HD204UI (samsung) drives running a software RAID5.
I'm getting low on space and decided I need to buy another HDD to extend the available space.
Now I come to purchase another drive I see that samsung F4 2TB (HD204UI) drives are now made by Seagate.
My question is, will these new drives (ST2000DL004) sit on my software RAID5 along with the Samsung manufactured HDD's?
If not i've got an expensive problem..

Thanks for your reply.
The model I have currently is the HD204UI (Samsung)
The drive i'm looking for purchase is the Mfr#: HD204UI/ST2000DL004
found here: http://www.dabs.com/products/samsung-2tb-spinpoint
£95 is not small change, so i'll just have to pray server 2008 detects this as the same drive as the others.
PS: The Samsung drives required a firmware update. Are these Seagate drives ok to use without the FW update?

I'm not sure tbh, I know the early ones needed one but I thought Samsung sorted that with the later ones.
