After 3 months my computer began freezing up. I figured out it was the new SAMSUNG HN-M500MBB disk drive. The problems stops happening when I disable Write Cache. For the past 3 months I have been testing it by turn Write Cache On and Off to insure its not something else causing the computer to freeze. When I turn Write Cache On the computer usually freezes within 30 to 60 minutes. When I turn Write Cache Off it runs fine but a little slow. I have run it without Write Cache for over 4 weeks without it freezing up. This is not likely a Driver issue since it work for 3 months without an issue but if there was a place with an updated driver I would try that. Is there anyone else having this issue?

Problem Resolved! I think I fixed this issue and it WAS NOT the SAMSUNG HN-M500MBB disk drive causing the computer to freeze. I read about other users having this type of problem and getting a BSOD error when the write cache is enabled with this disk drive and other drives as well. After enabling Write Cache and having the computer freeze, I waited about 2 minutes and finally got a BSOD error KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. Of course, there was no memory dump. I tested the disk drive with SeaTools and everything passed.
I then started looking for other causes. I looked in the Event Viewer under Administrator Events for an Error that shows the first time my computer locked up. I found the first occurrence of the following error:
4/1/2012 10:01:19 PM Event ID: 6008 EventLog: The previous system shutdown at 10:01:19 PM on 4/1/2012 was unexpected.
I then looked in "Program and Features" and found I had installed the Motorola MotoHelper USB driver just the day before. I uninstalled the MotoHelper and the freezing problem stopped happening. It’s been 1 week now and I think it is safe to say Problem Resolved!

I have not above mentioned Motorola software. But have this issue about 1 year. Laptop on garanty, and I live in Azerbaycan. How you can help me& Thanks in advance.
