ST3000DM001 with CC94 and chirp sound

My ST300DM001 came with firmware CC94 and makes the chirp sound every other minute or so. Its horrible sound for the drive to make. The new firmware release does not support upgrading from this particular firmware. When is the expected firmware release which will support this firmware too, or should we be returning these drives?

Also happening here. Horrible sounds every now and then. Firmware update still not available for this FW (CC94).
