Samsung Internal Drives

Hello Seagate

I just purchased 4 Samsung spinpoint HD204UI F4EG drives, and used a bootable usb with the F4EG.exe to attempt a firmware update.

It looked like the drives updated nicely, but when i look at the firmware revision now its still listed as 1AQ10001.. from what i heard that it is the culprit firmware?

That's normal. Samsung's old site had a notice to the effect that the update was a rush job and that the version would remain the same.

So there is actually no way to know if the bug has been resolved?
