hi there after a error (bad sector)on harddrive i decided to do a new install which crashed i then put drive as slave and tried reformatting this way started format and again crashed this time drive wont get reconised think i may have deleted drivers
i think the problem had something to do with my motherboard as 3 drives have ended up with bad sectors, all as main operating system i now have a new board and if possible would like to get the drives up and running again
any advice would be appreciated

bad sectors on HardDrives? make sure the BIOS and the HardDrive jumper is set correctly. On the older PC Bios, you can manually set the hard drive cylinders, heads, and sectors to that company brand rquirements-However, BE CAREFUL of the Bios or the harddrive jumper is set wrong, harddrive will get damaged sectors... Ive had jumpers on harddrives and the BIOS set in wrong places several times myself over the years
the jumper setting mistake on HardDrives are easy enough, as certain brand harddrives markings for Master-Slave-Cable Select is hard to tell where the jumper goes
