Savvio, Cheetah, and Constellation Enterprise Server & Storage (SCSI/FC/SAS/SATA) drives

First of all sorry about my english i will try to clarify.

I bough this HD to attach in my storage MD3000 and my storage says not compatible, but in md3000 manual says Constellation ES ST31000524ns are full supported. I contacted dell support.... and he says i need to purchase a disk from dell or the disk says imcompatible. and i`m furious because dell force you to buy a diskfrom him and you cant buy from another official seagate resselers.... this disk have no firmware upgrades from dell ONLY THIS MODEL oh my gosh!...

anyone know any solutions or sugestions to fix it?

I hate to be a captive customer. I will never buy a Dell machine for that reason.
