Hi there,
I am experiencing Medium Error on my SCSI ST336607LW (in Windows 2000 Server SP4). These are the scan code:
SK 3h
ASC 31h
SCQ 0h
From what I read from the Seagate Q&A, the Medium Format was corrupted. I cannot read the drive at all.
I rebuilt and booted up the server with a secondary IDE drive. I can see the hardware (i.e., the SCSI disc in Device Manager), but I always fail on any disc test.
I followed some postings to try "Seatools Enterprise". Inside Seatools Enterprise, I can see the drive information: model name, serial number, firmware number, etc. etc. However, when I run the test, it stopped. Seatools reported "Fru Code 05" , what does it mean ?
Can any expert give me further idea to proceed? I do not care about the disc, I just want to recover the data inside it.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
