HP generally makes it very hard to choose anything else than HPs own disks (which costs twice as much as any other brand).
Does anyone have any experience with using Seagate Savvio disks in a HP server (or maybe even specifically an ML350 G5 server).
I have some leftover trays. The question is, will the disk fit the tray, will the tray+disks fit the "disk compartment" (SAS-plugs lining up correctly) and once physically in place, will the RAID-adaptor accept it?
Any help is greatly appreciated - I never use the HP support anyway an I don't need it to be compatible with all the fancy HP-utils (as long as I can configure the raid, and create a logical drive for my Windows server).
