I have a new 2tb Seagate drive (usb 2/usb 3 -- my pc is usb 2). When I hooked it up is started backing up my disk as expected. That seemed to complete and I was even able to add in an additional local drive for it to backup. I can look on the drive and see that my files are there. This took quite some time (days).
A bit later I noticed that Replica notified me that he had not made a Recover Point (I thought it gave a period of time that matched when the full backup completed).. Anyway I went and hit the "Make Recovery Point" button and it has been running and running for over 5 days now. I do have Symantec on the system, and turned off the smart firewall (but not antivirus) for 24 hours in that period.. The task manager shows Seagate-Replica-Svc_xp.exe I/Os (2.6 million reads/81 thousand writes). I'm on XP and the box is old and not the fastest in the world.. but still it is yet to complete. It does not seem like it should take that long should it? Could it be hung? Something I can or should do to kickstart it?
Thanks

Maybe try running the tasks listed here as an "administrator" -
