Our xp system crashed but before it did, we had backed up files onto the seagage external drive. We got a windows 7 system and the files are showing up on the new system but I cannot seem to open them and do not know how. How do I open them in windows 7? And also, my wife had a lot of geneology stored in another program. We had reloaded the disk back on the computer for the program but it will not allow her to open the backup files on seagate up. How do I retrieve those files and retore it to the program? Please someone walk me through the steps of opening these files or putting them in a format I can see and print from. What about other programs that were backed up on the seagate drive and are showing up on the new computer but they will not open and I no longer have the disk for? There were a lot of things saved on those programs. Some I have the disk for but they still won't open. Please help.
