I successfully installed SeaTools v184.108.40.206 on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1. However, even with no exteanl disks connected it hangs:
What can try to go further and launch the application?

I seamed my would hang forever as did the previous version, (1205). However after trying to look for more info it finally came up with a EULA to accept and I was able to access the program.

go to: control panel/programs and features/Sea tools for windows and choose to do repairs.
After that, restart your machine & everything it's ok!

I'm encountering this same problem, but doing a repair on the SeaTools installation did not change any behavior. It just hangs indefinitely at the "SCSI: Scanning for supported drives" window (I've let it run for half an hour so far). Any ideas?

Tools for Windows hangs on startup scanning for SCSI drives?
I rebooted the PC n safe mode and ran the utility. Seems to run better in Safe Mode!

I had this problem until I removed my PCIe SATA/PATA adapter card (JMB363 chip with two SATA ports and one PATA port). This device appeared as a SCSI device in the device manager. After physically removing the device from my computer, Seatools worked. I suggest removing anything considered a "SCSI device" if possible.
Also, I'm using the newest Seatools release candidate v 220.127.116.11. You can get it by using the Seagate download finder for your harddrive by entering all your information including serial number, model number, etc.
