SeaTools

I just tried to run SeaTools on Windows 8.  It runs but fails to detect any drives.

I have already made sure to run as administrator and tried various compatability mode settings to no avail.

Are there plans to add support for Windows 8 soon?  Maybe a beta version I can try?

Similar problem here. I'm using Windows Server 2012 RC. Windows will report compatibility problem during install. After force install, no drive detected in SeaTools 1.2.0.6.

Hope the compatible version would be out soon.

Not much help here .... I just  tried to install Seatools 1208 on Windows8 and was informed (by Windows) that there are known compatability issues. I'd love to hear something from Seagate on this, after so many months ....

I've experienced the same as the above comments. SeaTools just doesn't work with Windows 8 so far as I can tell. Has anyone had any more luck than me? I did consider (bit of a hack I know) putting a Win7 PE / Rescue USB in and trying to run the program from there, has anyone tried anything similar? It's a reasonably "last resort" type plan before I give up to be fair.

hi, i read all the comments but still downloaded sea tool. windows 8 gave me a warning about compatability problem but i continued with the installation. and ............

......... guys it has been fixed. you will get two EULA..  the latter one is for the fix i guess.

but i continued with the installation. Seatools couldn't run the selftest with my two hard drives (both seagate constellation).

Please Seagate update this tool.

They are going to update the drivers for the seatools for windows8, i am also facing the same problems.
