Set Capacity to MAX (SeaTools for DOS)

When I use the "Set Capacity to MAX" option to reset the drive to its native size, do I need to power the system down and boot again before doing any other operations (for example, long/short tests, zerofill, etc)? Or can I perform them right away? In other ways, will "Set Capacity to MAX" take effect immediately, or after a power down?

Please see here.  It says to power down and reboot.
