I was asking for help with my laptop problems he told me to run seatools for dos. The short test passed without errors. The long test detected 2 errors. Block no 156244351 and 156244352. It said about fixing them but I didn't know what they meant so said no until I could ask advice. Do you know what thoe blocks are? Is my hard drive failing? My hard drive is ST9120822AS and I am using xp
I had just switched on my laptop and opened up some internet pages. Avast was doing the daily updates when the whole thing froze up. I couldn't click on anything or even do ctrl-alt-delete. All I could do was press the on button to turn it off then back on. When it started up I got a message about a zlclient.exe corrupt file.
C: \Windows\system32\zonelabs\lib\oem_1460.zip.dll corrupt and unreadable run chkdsk utility.
I tried to run chkdsk but as soon as it started it said it had been cancelled (I clicked nothing)
tred to run chkdsk in readonly mode. (typed cmd thenchkdsk)
It said warning F parameter not specified. chkdsk is verifying files(stage 1 of 3)
file verification completed.
deleting orphan file record segment 39800, 39801, 39802, 39803.
errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.
When I tried restarting laptop it says needs to check for consistency then says disk checking has been cancelled before it starts to run. I have clicked nothing to stop it.
I have uninstalled ZA and reinstalled a later version but the error is still there.
