"Reboot and Select proper boot device...." error

Shortly after buying my new computer I began getting the "Reboot and select proper boot device..." error. This usually occurs  when starting up the computer in the morning, but the system will start successfully on the second or third attempt. I contacted technical support and they suggested trying another port, and another power cable, but neither fixed the problem,  and finally they said to run Sea Tools.

But when I run Sea Tools Windows the only drive that it detects is "USB-1394 Multi flash reader". It doesn't seem to detect my Seagate Barracuda drive (Model ST1000DM003)

Everything on my computer seems to work fine except for the system startup problems. What I would like to know is, why isn't Sea Tools detecting my drive? And is there anything else that might be causing the system startup problem. Like I say the system is only a few weeks old. Has no other hardware installed other than what came with the system. And I have kept software additions to a bare minimum so that I can keep the 'puter running like new for as long as possible.

A replacement drive is on the way, but I don't want to go to the trouble of installing a new drive if I can avoid it. So if anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate it.
