Dear Seagate
My hardrive lasted two months before error messages started to appear.
I choose the special service option paid you approx $10 to ship me a
new drive then the old one would go back.
Despite showing a Canadian address as the place I wanted Seagate to ship
from...UPS delivery charged another $13 brokerage fee to deliver the drive.
I could buy a new drive in Canada for $50 and throw the old one in the garbage
This was very upsetting..first because there was no mention of this charge...
and secondly...American customers won't have to pay this overpriced fee
that constantly follows products delivered by UPS. When I order from the United
States and have the US postal service...there is no such hidden fee.

Seagate should refund this charge and try to force UPS not to penalize Canadians

I fwded your question on to our warranty people and they told me they refunded your ARO fee ($11.24).
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and let me know if it didn't come through correctly.

The internet if full of people unhappy with product and or the company that made it.
With fast..fair response to my upset at an extra $13 dollar overcharge ...which might be
a UPS not a seagate issue...still think it should be investigated....you have made me a
customer for life...and also as a photojournalist...somebody who will tell everyone that
will listen about how I was treated....BRAVO Seagate...thank u ..Canada Doug
