The Seagate user system is experiencing difficulties. Please try again later.

[ Edited ]

I have been trying to create a return for 2 days now and every time I try to create the return after the warranty validation, i get the following message:

The Seagate user system is experiencing difficulties. Please try again later.

How long is the site supposed to be down? It's getting very frustrating especially since Seagate doesn't have anybody picking up their phones when a call is placed.

I'm sorry you've been experiencing these problems.

The next step would indeed be to Contact Support.

When you say that nobody picks up, when were you trying, and from where are you calling?

You can also try chat agents if you have phone trouble.

I checked with warranty support for you and was told you should make sure you're using Internet Explorer.

Additionally verify that you're using "Return drive as a guest user" and not under "warranty validation".

Let me know how that works out for you   :smileyhappy:

Seagate's script book for responding to customers

[ Edited ]

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. "The problems you are experiencing with the Seagate website is due to the customer's browser."

Interesting when you thing about it. Everytime you see this response from Seagate there is NEVER a corresponding link to a page that defines exactly which browser and settings are required to use their site. Hmm.... One would think that that information would be extremely valuable to share with their customer base while they are busy "working to improve" the system. Yes, that was intended to be read as sarcastic.

It takes two brains cells to create a thought or conclusion yet no one at Seagate Customer Support has the required capacity to come to this conclusion. Perhaps the browser isn't the real issue after all. Otherwise, posting the required browser info would essentially paint them into a corner and remove the browser as a viable excuse for their extremely poor service.
